Track Practice Schedule
Beginning Tuesday May 26, 2015 -
Practices are held five days a week at the following times and locations:
Sunday - 12:00-1:30 pm - Gage Park, by the Carousel (Yes, we will go to the pool when possible)
Monday - 6:00 - 7:30 pm - Shawnee Heights High School - Throws, Jumps, Hurdles
Tuesday - 6:00 - 7:15 pm - Governor's Mansion - Meet in the parking lot
Wednesday - 6:00 - 7:15 pm - Topeka West High School - Speed Work (throwers will have the opportunity to stay late and throw)
Thursday - 6:00 - 7:30 pm - Shawnee Heights High School - All (Distance Runners may practice at Jardine Middle School as needed)
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Meets TBD
Athletes are encouraged to attend practices, regular practice helps ensure athletes are conditioned, while reducing the risk of injury. This will also allow for athletes to see progress and give them motivation to strive for future success.
Practice will be held rain or shine (exceptions for 100°+ heat index, hail, lightning and thunder), visit our Facebook page here for updates on practices.
Things to Bring to Practice
1. Water, hydration is very important, especially during summer.
2. Appropriate attire: warmups over shorts.
3. Training shoes and/or track spikes.
4. Positive attitude and willingness to work.
